CUMC enjoyed a beautiful Sunday at the Airfield 4H Conference center on June, 14. We started the day off with worship at 11am. Before enjoying a wonderful covered dish lunch, the youth assembled 48 Health Kits for Nepal earthquake victims. After lunch, we spent the rest of the afternoon canoeing, kayaking and swimming.

On Saturday, Dec. 6, the youth participated in the Courtland Christmas Parade. We had elves of all ages representing CUMC! Our youth group leader took five of our youth to the VAUMC middle school retreat at Eagle Eyrie from Nov. 14-16. The theme of the weekend was “I am”. Through worship, small group discussions, and Bible study they focused on what we see when looking in a mirror. They also enjoyed the praise band, The Keith Elgin Band, who also performed a short concert on Saturday night. The children's ministry team hosted our annual Fall Festival on Oct. 26. Over 100 children and parents came out to enjoy trunk or treating, hayrides, games, hotdogs, and a barn fire. |
