Christmas is a very special time at Courtland UMC. From our children's nativity to our candlelight service, there are many events going on that touch our hearts and help us to connect with the true meaning of Christmas. On August 28th, in the wake of Hurricane Irene, we came together to worship God for seeing us safely through the storm, and to pray for those who lost their lives and homes. Since we were without power, we decided to worship outside, in front of the church. The morning was beautiful and a perfect testament to who "God is..." |
