What to Expect
Worship
Courtland UMC is a place where you will feel right at home as soon as you walk through the door. Each Sunday, our sanctuary is filled with loving people from all age groups, and you will be greeted warmly.
On Sunday mornings, the worship service is geared towards helping the entire family grow in faith. Worship includes familiar hymns and contemporary songs to uplift your spirit. The sermon promises to be rooted in scripture and applicable to your daily life, making it easy to listen and understand the Word of God. Children's messages strive to be entertaining and on a child's level by explaining biblical topics through the use of visuals.

Sunday School
Each Sunday, the following classes gather from 10:00-11:00am. We are confident there is a group for you!
Preschool: Sunday school for children ages 2-PreK 4 (downstairs in the Preschool classroom)
The Ark: A class for children in grades K-2 which combines play, crafts, stories, and the good news of God's love! (upstairs)
KFC (Kids for Christ): 3rd-6th grade class which helps kids grow deeper in their faith (upstairs)
The SQUAD Sunday School: 7th-12th graders who dig deeply into scripture to grow in their understanding of how to be youth who follow God. (upstairs)
Adult Sunday School: An in-depth study of scripture combined with wonderful community who are committed to praying for and supporting one another (downstairs in the adults Sunday School classroom)
Nursery
Courtland UMC has a Nursery Coordinator each Sunday. The coordinator is in the nursery from 9:45 am - 12:00pm. There is also a Nursery helper each week to assist the coordinator with children.
