A day before Halloween with clear skies and perfect temperatures, our Fall Festival turned out to be a complete success. Complete with hayrides, corn hole, trunk-or-treat, costume parades, and many more activities, children from Courtland UMC and the community had the time of their lives! Below are just a few pictures of all the fun.

After being washed out for two weeks, we decided to hold our annual church picnic in our own fellowship hall. Simple as it was - hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, dessert - it was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to take a break on a Sunday afternoon and spend some time together. We still had games for the kids, too, the pinnacle of which was a scavenger hunt throughout the church! On August 28th, in the wake of Hurricane Irene, we came together to worship God for seeing us safely through the storm, and to pray for those who lost their lives and homes. Since we were without power, we decided to worship outside, in front of the church. The morning was beautiful and a perfect testament to who "God is..." On July 24th, we held a welcome reception for our new pastor, Pastor Brandon, and his wife, LeeAnn. Check out our photo gallery below of all the events of the day! |
