Blessing of the Backpacks!
During worship on August 25th, children are invited to wear their backpacks to church. Pastor Brandon will call them all to the front during the Children's Message and say a blessing over the backpacks as the children start a new school year. The children will be given a cross keychain to add to their backpack to remind them that God is watching over them each day.
Prior to the Blessing of the Backpacks, the CUMC will conduct a school supplies drive to benefit the after-school program for children at the Community Center in Courtland. A list of supplies will be available soon. For more information call 653-2240.
